Questions drivers ask

What's included in the £49.99?

Your motorhome (C1) medical with a GMC-registered doctor, who completes the DVLA D4 form at the van. A free retest is included if you need one. It's £49.99 online or £54.99 at the van.

Do I need a medical to drive my motorhome?

If your motorhome or campervan is over 3,500 kg you may need C1 on your licence, and DVLA asks for the D4 medical to add it. Check the weight plate and your licence categories if you're not sure.

Do I need to bring the D4 form?

No. We keep spare D4 forms at the van. If DVLA has already sent you one, bring it and the doctor will complete that instead.

What should I bring?

Your photo driving licence, your glasses or contact lenses if you wear them, and a list of any medication you take. Bring your D4 form if you already have one.

Can I pay at the van?

Yes. It's £54.99 on the day. Booking and paying online is £49.99, so you save £5.

What if I don't pass?

The doctor records what they find on the D4 form. The licence decision is DVLA's, not the doctor's or ours. If anything needs checking again, your retest is free.

Who does the medical?

A GMC-registered doctor. Our clinics are vans parked at transport sites and industrial estates, so there's no GP appointment to wait for.

Which licences does this cover?

C1, which covers motorhomes and other vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes, and C1E if you tow.

Can I book by phone?

Yes. Call 0808 188 9112 and we'll book you in.

Can I change or cancel my booking?

Call us on 0808 188 9112 and we'll help.

Prefer to book by phone?
