Questions drivers ask
What's included, and what does the ECG cost?
Your Motorsport UK or ACU medical with a GMC-registered doctor, who completes your medical form at the van, is from £59.99 online. A 12-lead resting ECG can be added for £75 when you book.
Do I need the ECG?
Some Motorsport UK licence applications ask for a resting ECG. Your application form or Motorsport UK will tell you if yours does. If it does, add the 12-lead ECG when you book and it's done at the same visit.
Is this an MSUK or MSA medical?
Yes. Motorsport UK (MSUK) is the new name for the MSA. The ACU medical for motorcycle racing is done at the same van.
Do I need to bring the medical form?
Bring it if you have it, as the doctor fills in your form. If you don't have it yet, get it from Motorsport UK or the ACU before you come.
What should I bring?
Photo ID or your driving licence, your Motorsport UK or ACU medical form, your glasses or contact lenses if you wear them, and a list of any medication.
What if I don't pass?
The doctor records what they find. Motorsport UK or the ACU decide on your licence, not us. Your retest is free if anything needs checking again.
Who does the medical?
A GMC-registered doctor. Our clinics are vans parked at transport sites and industrial estates, so there's no GP appointment to wait for.
Which vans do the motorsport medical?
Nearly all of them. Redditch and Solihull don't, and the town list on this page only shows the vans that do.
